Now you can help friends, family, neighbors, and local businesses and organizations go solar, and get rewarded for it! We've found that people are far more likely to go solar when they’re inspired or referred to us by someone they trust. By referring someone to Northwind Solar, you’re helping our community reduce reliance on fossil fuels, keep energy dollars local, and build a more resilient and just energy future close to home.
For every contact you refer to us that goes solar, we'll send you a $250 check as a thank you!
How the Northwind Solar Referral Program Works
1. Anyone can refer someone to Northwind Solar
You don’t have to be a current customer to refer. Share our referral form link: northwindre.com/refer with a friend, neighbor, business, or nonprofit. You can share this via text, on your social accounts, or via email with your network. If they reach out to us directly instead of using the form, just have them mention your name.
2. Your referral connects with Northwind
When they fill out the referral form or contact us and share your name, we’ll schedule a site visit or consultation to talk through solar options for their home, business, farm, or organization.
3. We create a custom proposal
Our team designs a solar system tailored to their site, energy use, and goals.
4. They install with Northwind. You get rewarded!
When your referral moves forward with a Northwind Solar installation, you receive a $250 referral reward as our thank‑you!
5. You’ve helped grow local solar
You’ve supported a neighbor, strengthened local energy resilience, and helped keep solar dollars in Central Wisconsin.
Referral Reward Details
You’ll receive $250 for each new customer who completes a project with Northwind Solar.
The reward applies per customer, regardless of how many systems or technologies they install.
Referrals may include:
- Homeowners
- Businesses
- Farms
- Nonprofits (municipalities, universities, schools, hospitals, churches, etc.)
There’s no limit to how many people you can refer.
