Updated October 2026. Put every quote on the same terms. Compare price per watt and system size, yearly production and its assumptions, equipment, all three warranties, who services the system, who handles permits and utility approval, battery sizing, and financing fine print. Then check the company: a Wisconsin electrical contractor credential, who actually does the install, and a record you can verify. Walk away from pressure tactics, "free solar," or any promise of the federal homeowner tax credit, which ended after 2025.
Northwind Solar is a worker-owned cooperative in Amherst, founded in 2007. We are glad to review a quote you already have.
